The first "Coffee & Chat" of the new season took place in Newton Mearns on Thursday 22 October 2016.
Seven people attended and there was plenty of chat and reminiscences, both about Shell and the War! It turned out that one of those present had been evacuated to the Isle of Man during WW2 and, coincidentally, another one had worked there more recently!

We are now calling these meetings "Coffee & Chat" – seems more friendly than satellite! The third meeting was held in Dobbies, Milngavie on Thursday 23 June 2016 and was, once again, well attended. We had a mini reunion of airport drivers which was great. We do hope that those who came along just as "interested parties" will join the Branch for next session. All present enjoyed tea/coffee or juice and very tasty nibbles and we were very well looked after by Dobbies. Roll on the next meeting!
Our second satellite coffee morning was held at the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew on Monday 4 April 2016. It was great to see a good turn out. The hotel provided excellent tea/coffee and biscuits and it was especially good to see four people who cannot attend the Glasgow meetings. The committee hope to arrange more of these 'satellite' events in the near future.
The inaugural 'satellite' coffee morning was held in Newton Mearns on Thursday 27 August 2015, a good time was had by all!
